Error code 336

You will see the following error in H&R Block’s 2019 tax software if, when completing the T4A: Statement of pension, retirement, annuity and other income page, you entered an amount for box 105 (scholarship income) but did not specify what type of scholarship income it was:

You need to choose the type of income for the amount you entered for box 105 on the T4A page. [error code: 336]

 

How do I fix this?

To correct the error, choose the type of income that corresponds to the amount you entered for box 105 on the T4A page.

Note: To enter your T4A slip into the software, go to the QUICK ENTRY tab and click on the QUICK SLIP icon. Type T4A in the search field then click the highlighted selection or press Enter to continue.
